News Flash
Greetings fellow Scouters,
We hope that you are excited about your upcoming week at Camp Bud Schiele. The staff has been very busy making sure that your experience at camp is one that your Scouts will enjoy. You may or may not have heard about the confirmed Swine Flu cases at Camp Daniel Boone this past week, another Boy Scout camp in North Carolina. In an effort to be proactive in this matter, Camp Bud Schiele is asking that all Leaders make sure that you do NOT bring any scout to camp that has recently been sick with flu like symptoms. Please follow the 24 hour rule in making the decision on whether or not a Scout should attend camp. That is, if a scout has had flu like symptoms or a fever within the past 24 hours, he should NOT attend camp. Our goal here is to ensure the safety of everyone who attends Camp Bud Schiele. Let me assure you that no one at the camp has been sick, this is just an effort to have a safe summer camp experience for everyone.
We appreciate you helping us to be proactive and ask that you please ensure that you make every effort not to bring a sick Scout or leader to camp.
Thanks for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you this summer at Camp Bud Schiele.
Yours in Scouting,
Allen Lockhart
2009 Camp Director
