Counselor In Training Program
Scouts aged 15 who have an interest in serving Camp Bud Schiele as a Counselor in Training will experience a new curriculum in the 2023 season that is aimed to develop skills such as leadership, customer service, teaching, and self-confidence.
Every day will be different, filled with exciting and unique experiences designed to not only create great staff members at camp but confident leaders in their daily lives. Over the course of the 2-week session, Counselors in Training will go from shadowing their counselor counterparts to instructing a portion of a lesson to deliver a full lesson in their program area that is engaging and compelling to campers.
Program Requirements
- Age 15 (16 and above should apply as staff).
- Able to work at camp for two weeks when your troop is not in camp.
- A current BSA registration and complete up-to-date health form.
CIT's will tent camp during their time at CBS and their meals are covered at no cost. CIT's will be survey about their experience and possibly asked to serve on staff in 2024. Please apply with the understanding that this will be a training program to serve on staff the following year. CIT's who complete their weeks and serve on staff the next camp season will be hired at a higher pay rate.
